Clearwater Counseling and Consulting, PLLC, was founded by Elizabeth Kovacs, LCSW, in 2019 as a place of support for adults coping with the stress of caregiving, parenting, chronic illness, and family tension. Located on the shores of Lake Norman, Clearwater Counseling seeks to be a place of comfort and affirmation where teenagers, adults, and senior citizens can find solutions and healthy coping skills.
Elizabeth Kovacs, LCSW
A Florida native, Elizabeth has called Lake Norman home since 2001. She earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and completed internships with organizations treating Traumatic Brain Injury, where she learned about caregiver support; and Eating Disorders, where she learned about holistic and integrative care. Elizabeth and her husband are the parents of three school-age children, and also the caregivers of an elderly parent with dementia.
What Elizabeth truly enjoys about being a therapist is hearing other people’s stories, and helping her clients realize and utilize their individual strengths. She enjoys having a broad diversity of clients, and accepts clients of all genders, races, faiths, identities and orientations.
